Preventative Dentistry:

At BHDP we aim to instruct our patients of all ages how to look after their teeth and prevent decay and tooth loss. We routinely apply topical fluoride and fissure sealants to high needs patients. All members of staff receive training to ensure compliance with "delivering better oral health - an evidence-based toolkit for prevention" published by Public Health England.

Restorative Dentistry:

We will advise you on the best way to restore your teeth, whether this is amalgam fillings, tooth coloured composite materials or with laboratory produced composite onlay.

Crowns are the ideal restoration for teeth that have been weakened by decay or a large filling. Bridges and Dentures are used to replace missing teeth. All ceramic crowns and bridges are available privately, these are lifelike and natural in appearance.

Maryland bridges are a popular alternative to small dentures and are attached to the natural tooth.

Flexidentures are available for patients who can not tolerate large dentures; because they are slightly elastic they engage the natural undercuts in the mouth to enable good retention.

BPS Dentures (Biofunctional Prosthetic System) are the gold standard of dentures aiming to reproduce the functions of natural teeth in mastication and speaking to a very high extent.

Cosmetic Dentistry:

Veneers and all ceramics crowns are used to cover a discoloured tooth or change the shape and size of anterior teeth. Whitening treatments are available privately.
