Helen Almond

Helen was brought up in North Yorkshire; she graduated BDS from Manchester University in 1981, gaining a postgraduate qualification in 1993. Helen has worked at Berwick Hills Dental Practice from 1990, owning the practice from 1993 until 2018. From January 2002 to December 2003 she undertook a certificate and diploma in restorative dentistry at the Eastman Institute in London; a course designed to enable her to work at a higher level in the area of restoring teeth.

Helen also has a certificate in Teaching and Learning in Professional Practice from the University of Central Lancashire. She has an interest in preventative dentistry and works hard to improve oral health and reduce inequalities. Helen is the vice-chair of Tees Local Dental Committee and committed to postgraduate education, attending many courses throughout the year as part of her personal development
