At Berwick Hills Dental Practice we feel that tray whitening is the best way to get the results you want. We take impressions of your teeth and send them to Whitewash Laboratories to get custom whitening trays made for you. After 10-14 days an appointment is made for you to have the trays fitted and to be shown how to use the product correctly.
We offer 2 types of whitening gel. Hydrogen Peroxide gel which is worn for 60-90 minutes a day or Carbamide Peroxide Gel which is worn 4-8 hours overnight. Results are the same whichever type of gel you opt for.

Most patients do a full course of whitening every day for 2-3 weeks then top up every 6 to 12 months

Is Teeth Whitening Treatment Safe?
Yes, as long as you use a product containing a safe concentration of hydrogen peroxide. Whitening is not recommended if you are pregnant and is illegal if you are under 18.
Is There Risks or Side Effects?
Whitening may result in some temporary sensitivity and /or gum irritation. If you have sensitive teeth we recommend using the whitening gel on alternate days.
How White Will My Teeth Go?
The average shade change is 7.8 shades.
How Long Will The Treatment Last?
12-24 months depending on lifestyle. To keep your smile white we advise trying to avoid food and drinks that stain your teeth such as red wine and coffee and, of course, to avoid smoking.
Will This Treatment Affect My Dental Work?
No, the whitening gel will only whiten natural teeth, it will not change the shade of crowns, veneer, bridges, dentures or fillings.
Can I Buy The Whitening Gel Without Seeing A Dentist?
No, you must have a full examination to ensure your mouth is healthy and suitable for whitening.
